At the height of the Congolese socio-political crises under past regimes, South Africa, better known as the “Rainbow Nation” hosted various social groups of the Congolese population: opposition members, Business people, students, medical professionals, artists, …
Over the years, there are probably between 80,000 and 100,000 Congolese living in South Africa, thus becoming the first French-speaking community in the country, some of whom are registered with the UNHCR. and others have experienced perfect integration into this nation.

Like the entire Congolese diaspora in other countries, the Congolese residing in the Rainbow Nation contribute to the future of the Democratic Republic of Congo thanks to their higher education, their expertise and experience in South African companies and their investments, fruit of years of hard work and businessl success.
Since its creation FICE has received a warm welcome from the Congolese diaspora in South Africa. It finds in this organization, the symbol of the unity of the Congolese and the duty to join the efforts for the reconstruction of a strong Congo in the heart of Africa. To better channel this patriotic contribution, a national committee was created and is led by fellow congolese with unparalleled intellectual qualities and moral values.
