What type of association does FICE consider itself?

FICE is an international non-profit association.

FICE has been officially registered in the United States since April 14, 2021. Its headquarter is in Huntersville, North Carolina. It has offices or branches in Belgium, France, Switzerland, and Kinshasa (DRC). Other branches will be created in the future in other countries or territories.

FICE is not a political party; It is not affiliated with a political party or body; It encourages its members to exercise politics by respecting its values indicated in the bylaw; FICE recognizes and respects the institutions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and those of the Congolese diaspora’s host countries.

FICE accepts any member who applies for membership application and complies with its bylaw. New members are not accepted based on tribal origins, gender, marital status, or religion.

No. FICE grants membership to persons who fill the membership form together with the related fees. All adhering members pay annual dues under the conditions set by the legal texts and the governing bodies of FICE. Failure to pay annual dues within the required timeframe results in the loss of membership.

Contributions are used for operating costs, investment in economic and cooperative projects that give to members shares, and donations to vulnerable populations or victims of mother nature events.

FICE's mission is to bring together Congolese intellectuals who live and work abroad in a framework of reflection, exchange, and action on issues affecting the Democratic Republic of Congo and their development in their host countries.
